Finally, after 127 days since Snake Islands capture, Russia announces its decision to withdraw and give back ownership of the Snake Island territory. this day marks the largest prisoner exchange between Russia and Ukraine.
The Russian ministry of defence after its announcement caused great controversy. While the Moscow government announced its withdraw, Russia shows that by withdrawing its troops from snake island its not hindering the United Nation’s effort a corridor for the removal of agricultural products from Ukraine.
Ukrainian president Vladimir Zelinsky reports rescuing 144 ukrainian soldiers held captive by Russia expressing he wanted to give an optimistic and important news in a video message. Zelinsky said “we rescued 144 Ukrainian soldiers from Russian captivity. Among them, 59 national guards, 30 naval forces, 28 armies, 17 border guards, 9 anti-terrorism soldiers and one police officer.”
He also stated that in the Ukrainian soldiers to be rescued, 65 years was the oldest soldier and the youngest is 19 years old even the 95 azov still defenders are returning to their homes.
