In the previous weeks Russia has thrown most of its forces to capture Sievierdonetsk where both sides of the troops from Ukraine and Russia have received enormous casualties and most of the in ruins with no conditions of living. This time Ukraine made the first move and withdrew its forces saying that the city may as well be already surrounded.

A number of sources say that the withdrawal of the troops does not come as a surprise to them as it was expected even though Ukraine is seen to still have a small chance at changing the tides of the battle but instead withdrew their troops giving Russia a tactical win which they claimed.

This move has led to the city of Lysychansk being captured by Russia which was one of their goals. And since Russia’s troops are worn out, they also decided to withdraw part of their troops planning to use this chance to move into other parts of Ukraine. But with this, Ukraine may have already prepared for this action against them and is ready to retaliate.
